Adrenal Insufficiency, Adrenal FatigueSyndrome, is an endocrine-or hormonal-disorder when overworked, damaged or depleted Adrenal Glands do not produce adequate amounts of steroid hormone, primarily cortisol, but may also include impaired production of Aldosterone..Adrenal insufficiency can be difficult to diagnose in its early stages as the symptoms progress gradually. The symptoms are worsening fatigue and muscle weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, low blood pressure and in about half of cases nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea occur. Addison’s Disease is a syndrome specifically related to inadequate secretion of Corticosteroid Hormones. Excessive Stress may cause Adrenal Insufficiency (by causing the Adrenal Glands to produce greater quantities of Glucocorticoids in response to Stress than under normal conditions).

Substances may Alleviate Adrenal Insufficiency
– Vitamin B1

– Vitamin C
– DHEA
– Licorice
– Sodium, Adrenal Insufficiency patients often have salt cravings

Adrenal Insufficiency may cause
May cause suppression of the Immune System
May cause Fatigue
May be the cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
May be an underlying cause of Hypotension (low Blood Pressure)
May be an underlying cause of impaired Liver function
May be an underlying cause of Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
May cause Anxiety
May cause Depression
May cause Insomnia

Cortisol https://drsokhandan.com/cortisol/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=cortisol Sun, 09 Aug 2020 06:44:03 +0000 http://drsokhandan.com/?p=1709 Cortisol often called stress hormone, Cortisol a type of Adrenal Glucocorticoid Hormone (Corticosteroid) manufactured by the Adrenal Glands. Cortisol is much more than just a hormone released during stress. Understanding Cortisol and its effect on the body will help the balance hormone and achieve good health.
Cortisol receptors present in every cell of our body, it affects many different functions in the body. Cortisol can help control blood sugar levels, regulate metabolism, help reduce inflammation, and assist with memory . It has a controlling effect on salt and water balance and helps control blood pressure. In women, cortisol also supports the developing fetus during pregnancy. All of these functions make cortisol a crucial hormone to protect overall health and well-being. Cortisol may help to control allergies  (by stabilizing Lysosomes). A major burst of Cortisol secretion occurs during the early morning and after meals.  Peak Cortisol levels occur at approximately 7:00 a.m. and lowest levels occur at approximately 11:00 p.m, Thereafter, the release of Cortisol from the Adrenal Cortex occurs only in brief bursts (7 to 15 episodes per day). 5% of the body’s Cortisol is loosely bound to Albumin.

Toxic Effects of (excessive) Cortisol
1- Accelerate the Aging process
2- Suppress Immune system
3- My cause Hypertension
4- May cause Fatigue
5- May cause Insulin Resistance
6- May contribute to the Obesity
7- Increase the rate of Neuron detain Alzheimer’s
8- Cortisol increase Appetite  (leading to Binge Eating during periods of Stress).
9- Depression  patients are found to have elevated (>0.594 ng/ml of saliva) evening Cortisol levels.
10- Insomnia
11- Migraines
12- Increase risk for PMS
13- Cortisol is produced and released within the body in response to Stress.
