Progesterone is a female hormone, which is a great factor for the regulation of ovulation and menstruation and excessive or prolonged bleeding during Menstruation) is often caused by sub-optimal Progesterone levels, in many female Low serum Progesterone levels may cause Pre-Menstrual Syndrome (PMS). The female body’s endogenous production of Progesterone falls to zero (or very close to zero) during and for some time prior to Menopause (Female).
Progesterone may help to prevent many types of Cardiovascular Diseases (due to its ability to minimize risk factors for Cardiovascular Diseases such as elevated LDL Cholesterol, lowered HDL Cholesterol and elevated Triglycerides levels).
Progesterone may help to prevent High Blood Pressure (by facilitating the excretion of excessive Sodium from the body).
Progesterone may facilitate recovery from (ischemic) Stroke.
Progesterone as Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRP) is poorly absorbed when administered orally. Exogenous Progesterone as Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRP) is absorbed extremely efficiently through the Skin (in the form of a topically applied cream). The site of topical application of Progesterone should be rotated between the Breasts, Abdomen and Thighs in order to avoid over-saturation of any given region.

Biological Function of Progesterone
1- May help to prevent Heart Attack.
2- May help to prevent High Blood Pressure.
3- May help to facilitate recovery from Stroke (ischemic).
4- May protect against the Hair Loss.
5- May help to prevent Cancer – Uterus, Breast and Endometrium.
6- May inhibit the growth of Cancer – Prostate cells (by inhibiting the conversion of Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by  inhibit the activity of 5 Alpha-Reductase.
7- May lower elevated serum Triglycerides,, Cholesterol, LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) and may increase HDL(High Density Lipoprotein).

8- May prevent and possibly revers Osteoporosis (by stimulating Osteoblast activity), Osteoblast-mediated Bone formation.
9- May facilitate the excretion of excessive Sodium  from the body (due to Progesterone competing with Aldosterone for occupancy of the Kidneys)
10-  may facilitate the formation and maintenance of Myelin Sheets.
11- Decline in Progesterone production may be involved in Postpartum – Depression.
12- may alleviate and may help to prevent some forms of Depression.
13- may help to restore normal Sleep cycles.
14- may alleviate Ovarian Cysts.
15- may alleviate Uterine fibroids (by counteracting the estrogens dominance that is the underlying cause of many cases of Uterine Fibroids).

Substances may Enhance the Function of Progesterone
1- Prolactin
stimulates the production of Progesterone within the Ovaries
2- (LH) Luteinzing Hormone stimulates the Corpus Luteum during the Luteal Phase of the Menstrual Cycle to produce Progesterone
3- Vitamin C may increase Progesterone production in Luteal Phase Defect patients
4- Vitamin E
5- Vitamin B6
6- Vitamin B5
7- The Retinoic acid form of Vitamin A may enhance the production of Pregnenolone in the Central Nervous System.

Testosterone https://drsokhandan.com/testosterone/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=testosterone Wed, 19 Aug 2020 05:58:55 +0000 http://drsokhandan.com/?p=1866 Testosterone is the primary male sex hormone and Anabolic steroid hormone and naturally occurring that produced by men’s testes. Men with high blood pressure may have low Testosterone as men with normal blood pressure. Low Testosterone may increase risk of type 2 Diabetes in men as Testosterone help blood sugar levels.

Substance Enhance the Production or Function of Testosterone
1- Amino AcidALC; (Acetyl-L-Carnitine) and Aspartic-Acid

2- Hormon
– DHEA; (Dehydroepiandrosterone) may increase the serum levels of Testosterone in men to levels equal to those of younger men.
– Insulin; May lower SHBG (sex Hormone Binding Globulin) levels (causing a rise in the quantity of “free”
Testosterone available for uptake into tissues).
– LH; (Luteinizing hormone) stimulates the production of Testosterone by the Leydig Cells of the Testicles.
– Progesterone; May inhibit the conversion of Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) (by inhibiting the activity of
– (5-Alpha Reductase), the enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of Testosterone to DHT.

3- Essential Fatty Acid
– Omega-3 Fatty Acid; May stimulate the Leydig Cells of the Testicles to synthesize Testosterone.
– Monounsaturated Fatty Acids; May increase endogenous Testosterone levels.
– Phytosterols and Beta-Sitosterol; May inhibit the conversion of Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone and Estradiol (by inhibiting
the 5-Alpha Reductase and Aromatase enzymes):

4- Vitamin
– A, C, D, and E

5- Minral
– Magnesium
Zinc
– Potassium
– Boron

Estrogen- Female Sexual Steroid Hormones https://drsokhandan.com/estrogen/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=estrogen Mon, 17 Aug 2020 06:11:36 +0000 http://drsokhandan.com/?p=1807 Estrogen

Estrogen is the primary Female Sexual Steroid Hormones is responsible for the reproduction for the development and regulation of the female reproductive system and produced in the Ovaries and (to a lesser extent in males) the Testes.

Estrogen may inhibit the rate of Bone loss that occurs during Osteoporosis by inhibiting the production of Interleukin 6 which in turn inhibits the production of Osteoclasts).
Estrogen may help to prevent Alzheimer’s Disease via numerous mechanisms. Endurance Exercise may reduce womens’ levels of Estrogens.

3 Type of Estrogen

1- Estradiol
– Estradiol is the major (most biologically potent) Estrogen produced and secreted by the female Ovaries (and produced in smaller
quantities in males). There are two forms of Estradiol (of which Estradiol 17-Beta is the most biologically potent).
– Estradiol (especially natural Estradiol used in post-menopausal Estrogen Replacement Therapy (ERT)) may help to prevent
Alzheimer”s Disease. Estradiol may help to maintain normal Brain function.
– May help to prevent Anxiety.
– may increase (female) Sexual Desire (by stimulating the endogenous production of Nitric Oxide Synthase (NOS) which catalyzes
the production of Nitric Oxide (NO).
– May inhibit toxic effects of Amyloid-Beta Protein to destroy Neurons
– High level of Estradiol (in males or females) may increase the risk of Breast Cancer (Estradiol strongly stimulates the growth of Breast tissue.
– High level of endogenous Estradiol levels (in males) may increase their risk of Heart Attack and Stroke.
– High level of endogenous production of Estradiol may cause Endometrial Cancer, Ovarian, and Uterus Cancer.
– High level of Estradiol levels (in males) may increase the risk of Enlarged Prostate.
– Vitamin may reduce elevated Estradiol level (Choline, Inositol, E, and B6)

2- Estriol

– Estriol is a estrous, weak estrogen also known as (16 Alpha Hydroxyestradiol) and involved in pregnancy.
– May alleviate the Urinary Incontinence that commonly occurs in association with Female Menopause.
– May help to prevent Osteoporosis
– Estriol cream applied intravaginally, may alleviate Vaginal Atrophy.

3- Estrone

– Estrone come from the overies, as well as the adipose tissue and adrenal glands.
– Excessive production of Estrone (and impaired conversion of Estrone to Estriol within the Liver) has been closely linked to
(Breast cancer,   Ovarian Cancer, Uterus cancer, and Endometrial cancer).
– Excessive production of Estrone in men may increase the risk of Prostate Cancer.

Biological Function of Estrogens
May improve Blood Circulation to the Brain
May inhibit the rate of Bone loss that occurs during Osteoporosis ( by inhibiting Interleukin 6)
May help to prevent Alzheimer in Post- menopausal women
May increase High density lipoprotein (HDL) and Low density lipoprotein (LDL)
May improve Memory
May help to prepare the female body for Pregnancy
May increase the moisture content of the Skin
May increase the quantity of Type IIICollagen in the Skin
May improve the elasticity and firmness of the Skin
May enhance the retention of Calcium in the Bones

Estrogens may Interfere with these Substances
May increase the body’s requirement for Vitamin E
May deplete the body’s FolicAcid levels
May interfere with Vitamin B6
May interfere with Biotin
May deplete Choline
May deplete the body’s Inositol levels
